Sol Gel Method for the synthesis of ZnO nanoparticles
This video shows how to synthesize ZnO nanoparticles by the sol-gel method,
For this purpose 2 g of zinc acetate dihydrate was dissolved with a 15 ml of distilled water and 8 g of sodium hydroxide was dissolved in a 10 ml of distilled water. The solutions were stirred.
Then the sodium hydroxide solution was added to the
solution of zinc acetate with a constant stirring. Then 100 ml of ethanol was added the solution containing both sodium hydroxide solution and zincacetate. After the reaction, and evaporation of solvents in oven white ZnO nano powder was formed.
